It's a very tactical build that often wins fights with a single spell. There are some hard spots for a squishy caster, but it's doable. If you don't want to dump Cha, leave it at 10 and drop Int to 15, then bump it at level 16. Alternatively Bloodrager is less complicated than the Magus classes, and does a similar sort of thing. Dex characters are a bit more tanky, Str characters are more damaging. Str characters are easier to build as they don't need a bunch of feats and specific weapons to function. Also depends what difficulty setting you're planning to play on.

So you'll have extra skill point at creation with 12 (+1) INT, but won't have it on lvl 2, and only get next on 3 (5-7 etc). You start with either INT 10 (+0) or go for INT 14 (+2) to get full extra skill that will always be topped. Anything with ODD INT bonus is only good for partial skill ranks build.
